Personal Safety

On Wednesday 21 November the Upper 6 had a talk from a police officer about safety on nights out. Some of the facts about the dangers of nights out and crime were very shocking, for instance, 1 in 4 university students have been sexually assaulted. We learnt ways to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime by reducing our alcohol intake and being aware of our surroundings - stay with friends and watch our drinks for spiking. This talk gave us an insight into the possible dangers of nights out, but by being aware of them, we can avoid becoming a victim of crime and stay safe.
