Fresh Start

On Friday 1 December, some of the charity committee representatives went to visit Fresh Start. Fresh Start is a charity that helps people who have been made homeless to set up new homes. When we were there we met Mark. He told us a bit about the warehouse and gave us a quick tour. He then told us that we were going to make up some starter packs. He gave us a shopping basket and a food list. We went around the shelves and collected the items. Once we had them all, we put them in a plastic bag and tied it up. It was a very interesting visit.

The visit to Fresh Start was very interesting. We made up some food packs for people who were moving into new homes. We sorted out cans, cereal, tea, coffee and all sorts of other things. We learned that there are over 200 people who volunteer as helpers for Fresh Start and they have three different buildings in Edinburgh. Fresh Start help lots of people. It was a really fun trip. Thank you, Mark.
