Upper 5 Ball

On Saturday afternoon, my friends and I went to Clara's house to get ready for the night ahead. We all arrived excited for the Ball, which we had looked forward to for months. When we arrived at Clara's, it was not long before we got into our dresses and did our make-up. Clara's mum provided us with some canapés and drinks before leaving to go to Merchiston. When we arrived, we were greeted by the boys. We went into the Memorial Hall and began the dances.

The first dance, Gay Gordons, was my favourite dance of the evening. Half way through the evening, we left the hall to have a meal. The meal served was curry. It was very enjoyable. After our fantastic meal provided by the Merchiston staff, we went back upstairs for some more dancing. The evening was concluded by our two friends, Clara and James, giving a speech of thanks. After we said our goodbyes, sixteen of us stayed at Clara's house. It was a fantastic evening!
