Music - Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships

Piper 250wWe are counting down to Sunday 11 March 2018 and the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships. While showcasing Scotland's young talent, over 150 schools across Scotland battle it out for the prizes! For the first time in 130 years of St George's School for Girls' history we have four Pipers taking part in this competition.

Playing the Bagpipes is just one of the numerous instruments offered to students in the Faculty of Music and Mr Gordon Campbell, Teacher of Pipes, is delighted to enter Kathryn, Lexie, April and Clara for this Competition.

Last summer Kathryn played her Pipes on our Italy Tour, wowing the audiences, while making history as the first St George's School for Girls' Piper to perform abroad - let's hope for more history making on the 11 March 2018!
