Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Before half term, the Big Owls visited the The Gallery of Modern Art. They went on a walk to the Gallery’s gardens where they had a picnic snack and chatted about the different sculptures. Then the girls were asked to sit beside their favourite sculpture in the garden and draw what they could see. After finishing their drawings, we took a walk through the gallery and visited various art exhibitions. Each girl perceived the art in a very different way and had very interesting things to say. Our afternoon to the gallery ended with a story at the “Picture Hooks” corner.
This calm afternoon gave our term a great end.
Thank you Big Owls.
