Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, award winning author Lari Don visited St George's on Monday. First she talked about her adventure novels: the Spell Chasers Trilogy and the Fabled Beast Chronicles. Then she talked about her other books and the stories behind them. She helped us to create a chase scene altogether. Everyone in Primary 6 listened with excitement. The chase scene had dragons, minotaurs, giant hot dogs and all of these ideas were created by the Primary 6 classes working together.
Next she read a chapter of a chase scene from one of the Spell Chaser books. We all felt like we were in the chase too! She also told a really old story about a seven-headed dragon who moved in next to the emperor of China’s castle. The dragon’s favourite food was little girls. One day a girl cut off all seven heads of the dragon. We really loved Lari Don coming to talk to us and all of Primary 6 would like to say a big thank you to her for visiting us.
Thank you Lari Don!
