Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On 8 March, all the Primary 6 classes came together in the P6X classroom to do a Skype call to India. It took a lot of time and calls so we had to get a computer specialist to help us fix it, but we finally got through. The school in Janagar, Gujurat, India, spoke English as a subject and they managed the whole call in our language.
Most of the questions were about our Eco community and how we do things over here at St George’s. This is because Eco Schools Scotland paired us up with their school. We also found out that they had one green bin for biodegradable and one bin for re-cycling. We talked about what we re-use and we found out that they make their own soil to grow plants. The school in India told us they have six subjects that they study.
They asked us questions like what toys we play with, what colour of bins do we have around our school and how many bins we have per classroom.
