Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
Leonie, who used to board at Houldsworth before returning home to Germany, was invited to the U6 Ball by her friend Reb back in December. She was excited to come back as she was looking forward to seeing her friends from St George’s and can’t wait to see them again when they go interrailing in the summer.
The U6 Ball had amazing decorations and was the “best ball ever” according to Leonie. It was the first time she had ever danced at a ceilidh and so she was surprised when people started dancing in bare feet. Overall, she was very happy to come back to Houldsworth to catch up with everyone, and greatly enjoyed her time at the ball.
Leonie said her next big journey will be to university. Before that though she was excited to say that she would be spending Christmas in Australia with a former St George’s exchange student, Olivia, whom she met while at St George’s.
It was lovely to have Leonie back to Houldsworth, as we are always eager to hear what our Old Girls are up to now. We welcome other Houldsworth Old Girls to get in touch to reminisce about their time at the boarding house.
