Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
The whole year group went to go to the Forth Road bridge contact and education centre for the afternoon. We first looked around the new exhibit. Elaine started to talk to us about the bridges and gave us some facts, like the materials that it took to make the bridge is long enough to go around the equator once and a quarter time.
After some facts and getting to know more about the bridges, we could choose to walk across the Forth Road bridge or stay and do an engineering challenge. I chose to walk across the bridge. It was a bit windy, but it was a really nice experience I didn’t know that the bridge had gaps in it so that when it gets hot it expands.
I loved going to the bridges on World of Work day.
