St George's Moves to Supported Home Learning

eLearningFollowing Government advice regarding Coronavirus, the school is now running supported home learning from 23 March.

The school will continue to support pupils in any way that we can while these unusual and testing circumstances continue. School Post will be our main communication channel with parents. We also remain available by email or telephone as usual during school hours.  Upper School Reception is staffed during normal working hours from 8 am to 4 pm to take inquiries by telephone, and our Admissions Department are still available to support all prospective families through the Admissions process.

All parents will have now received by School Post the information about the ways in which we will continue to deliver teaching and support your daughters, both in their learning and in their emotional journey through the coming days. Please see School Post messages sent by Mr Leask, Miss Benson, Mrs Nettleton and Mr Verrecchia for details.

Junior School girls have supported learning activities from their teachers for the next two weeks. Mrs Hay will be in touch after Easter to ensure that we provide continuity of learning for them after that. Mrs Nettleton will keep in touch with Nursery families through Learning Journals and the Nursery Instagram page.

Critical workers

From Monday 23rd March to Friday 3rd April, the school is able to facilitate supervision of students whose parents are critical workers and unable to provide childcare between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday. A packed lunch will be provided.

Holiday period

The holiday period will run as scheduled from Monday 6th April and supported home learning will resume on Monday 20th April.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
