Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Sunday 27 September was World Tourism Day. To mark the occasion, we took 2 groups of girls on an outing using the school minibus. We started off in South Queensferry where we enjoyed a view of the 3 bridges that link Edinburgh to Fife over the Firth of Forth. We then headed into town and followed the route of the city tourist bus to see the sights of Edinburgh city centre.
Some of the landmarks we saw on the way included Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Scottish Parliament Building and Greyfriars Bobby.
It was a lovely afternoon and a welcome change of scenery for our boarders. A big thank you to Steven from our Facilities Team who gave up his Sunday afternoon to be our driver.
