Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
In Primary 2, we have been exploring a lot of new topics this term. In Maths, we have been learning about data handling by going on walks and keeping a tally chart of things that interest us. We are learning to display the data we collect on a bar graph.
We made ‘DISGUSTING’ sandwiches to help us learn how to write instructions. Inspired by the book, ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch,’ we have been painting beautiful landscapes. We also had a technical challenge to add a zipwire for Mr Grinling’s lunch basket to move along the painting. The science experiment to design Mr Grinling some safe, reflective clothing has been interesting too. We have also been thinking about our feelings and how to handle our feelings. We made rain sticks that make soothing sounds to help calm us.
We miss being in school but we are trying to enjoy every opportunity to get active and learn!
