Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
This week in Enrichment we started off by having an aerial year group photo taken outside, which will be going into the yearbook – luckily the weather was very sunny! Our Yearbook Prefects, Saskia and Rosie, and our Senior Prefect, Amy, updated us on progress on the yearbook and the current plans for the U6 Revue and Ball near the end of term. We were excited to hear from Sarah, our Head Girl, that the Leavers’ Hoodies for 2021 have arrived in school and we will be filling out an online form detailing when our last exam takes place; we will receive our hoodies on this date and become official Leavers 2021.
We also have to nominate an U6 Speaker who will speak at Speech Day to represent the whole year group. We should detail who we think would best suit the role and why, and once all of the nominations have been collected, Mrs Hems will make the final decision on who will be speaker.
Finally, we were all given draft copies of our Speech Day Programmes, where each Upper 6 student is celebrated. The information in the programme includes their confirmed university choice, apprentice position or other plans following school and also a list of the activities they have taken part in at St George’s. It was good to remember all that we have done over our time at school and to look ahead to the next stage.
