It was a busy weekend at Houldsworth with soap making and a shopping trip into town. On Saturday we spent hours sitting around tables in the dining room and repeatedly making and then remelting, soap with different colours and styles. Özüm was particularly skilled and produced several clear triangles with coloured sea creatures inside.
Then on Sunday, we hit the unprepared streets of Edinburgh in a successful attempt to revamp our wardrobes for the post-lockdown world. After splashing out at Armstrong's vintage emporium we topped off the weekend with ice cream on the lawn, before heading back to Houldsworth to the ever-present revision.
