On 24 March P6 were all sitting on the carpet and listening to a fairy story with an eco-message. The story was called the last fairy and was about a fairy tribe who were being turned to dust because people were cutting down the berry tree which kept them alive. The eco message in this story was that the people that cut the trees down grew new berry trees. This was organised by the John Muir Trust. We found out that the author of the story had retired to do his favourite things, writing and climbing.
After we heard the story, we were told to write our own fairy story with an eco-message. When we were writing our stories, we had a go reading our stories to the class and really enjoyed doing so. Every P6 really enjoyed writing the story and learnt we should be a little more eco-friendly.
