Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
What a busy term we have had with an abundance of learning through play. The girls worked hard on creating their individual Mother's Day cards, using watercolours to design a daffodil.
On Thursday we welcomed Nell's baby brother Otto in to be bathed. The girls were super excited and gentle when helping Nell's Mummy. There has been particular engagement in learning the first group of letters and sounds: ‘s’ ‘a’ ‘t’ ‘p’ ‘I’ and ‘n’, in a play based way. Eco Day was a success and we were so proud of the girls’ performance at our Daffodil Breakfast, in aid of Marie Curie.
This week in P.E, Big Owls have been balancing, learning to participate in small groups or in pairs and remembering to listen to instruction. With such lovely weather, we have been outdoors, learning in the sunshine.
To round off the term we celebrated together with a special snack. We look forward to finding out and learning more about minibeasts next term.
Happy holidays everyone and Happy Easter when it arrives!
