Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
In class, we have been learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly. On Thursday, 18 May, we went to visit Butterfly World. We saw different varieties of butterflies. They were all fluttering around us. Our guide was called Kev. He told us some amazing facts about butterflies. For instance, 'The Owl' butterfly has fake eyes and feathers to scare predators away.
We saw a variety of snakes, stick insects, quails and turtles too. At the end, we got to feel a snake, a centipede and a tarantula. It was a fun trip and we learnt so much!
