Jonathan began his teaching career at the Manchester Grammar School in 2011, working as a Teaching Assistant within their Music Department. After completing his PGCE, he moved to Scotland in 2013 where he taught Music at Fettes College for two years before moving to St George’s School for Girls in September 2015. Jonathan’s responsibilities at St George’s School for Girls include teaching classroom music from Primary 6 to Upper 6. He is also responsible for directing and conducting a number of ensembles including Lower School Choir and Lower School Orchestra.
Jonathan has been Musical Director for a number of school musicals. His many responsibilities at Fettes College included teaching GCSE, A Level, IB and conducting their Concert Band. Jonathan’s first instrument is the piano and he very much enjoys accompanying, this being one of his duties at St George’s School for Girls.
