Mrs Harriet Davidson – Cello
Harriet Davidson grew up in Edinburgh and moved south to read Modern History at St Hilda's College, Oxford, before going on to postgraduate instrumental studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Raphael Wallfisch and Louise Hopkins.
Harriet joined the music department at St George's in 2006 and also teaches cello at ESMS schools and the Specialist City of Edinburgh Music School. In addition to her teaching commitments, Harriet continues to perform and enjoys a busy and diverse freelance career.
Harriet has performed and toured extensively with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and continues to work regularly with the orchestra's outreach and education projects in schools, hospitals and prisons. She also enjoys performing chamber music with 'Trio Ecossaise' and through the 'Music in Hospitals' scheme.
