'Cantate' Concert

Cantate is a Latin word meaning Sing! We were certainly treated to a wonderfully joyous celebration of singing by Miss Lewis's students.

P6 to U6 sang together in the ensemble pieces, which included Wild Mountain Thyme and ABBA. Solos, duets and sextets were equally eclectic, ranging from beautiful baroque arias to traditional Māori love songs. The students' love of singing, the camaraderie between the older and younger pupils and the way performing together cultivates confidence were very clear to all of the families and friends in the audience.
