Drama Students Enchanted by "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"

On 13 May, a group of students experienced the wonder of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" – a production that was nothing short of magical. The spectacular staging, beautiful singing, creative choreography and clever puppetry brought this beloved story to life in a truly memorable way.
As we know at St George's, theatre trips are more than just enjoyable outings; they're powerful learning experiences. For our younger students, these visits spark imagination and curiosity, while our examination candidates develop the critical analysis skills that will serve them well in assessments and beyond.
Rebecca Nicol, our Curriculum Leader for Drama, puts it perfectly: "Live performance allows our girls to see how acting and design work together, lifting drama from page to stage." This is exactly the kind of enriching experience that empowers our students to find their own creative voices and analytical perspectives.
It's always wonderful to see our students engaging with professional theatre – observing, analysing, and being inspired by the arts in action. These experiences help them develop not just as drama students, but as confident, thoughtful young women with the skills to express themselves and evaluate the world around them.
