New Sixth Form Facilities
The Sixth Form common rooms and facilities have recently been moved to a new location on the top floor of the Upper School,
in response to the girls’ ideas about Sixth Form. Designed and planned with the help of a team of Upper 5 and Lower 6 girls, the new Sixth Form study and social suite has been created for a modern way of learning.
Housed around the Upper School library to give easy access to the library and the computer area, the girls have flexible open plan work spaces, private study areas and individual workstations.
The girls created style mood boards with a collage of images and materials evoking a particular style with options for room colours, furnishings, lighting, carpets and artwork. The new facilities provide an innovative study and relaxation area where both year groups are fully integrated.
The existing classrooms in this area, where Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies and ESOL and are now relocated to the current area occupied by the Sixth Form.
