Outdoor Trips & Learning
George’s Lower School offers outdoor education and exciting
school trips that help girls learn new skills, build confidence, make
friends, and become more resilient.
Students enjoy a three-day residential experience at Lendrick Muir,
Kinross, where they participate in activities like raft building,
archery, ropes course and problem-solving.
Students travel to Lagganlia, Cairngorms National Park, for a
five-day outdoor experience that includes mountain biking, gorge
walking, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking.
Students go to Loch Eil where they build on their skills and
undertake a night under canvas as well as hiking, abseiling, and
In addition, a range of trips are offered throughout
the year. Recently these have included a sports trip to Belfast and a
Classics trip to Naples.
Day trips to various destinations like
Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh Zoo, and Blackness Castle are also available to
complement classroom learning.
