Early Years Nursery in Edinburgh

Here are some of the reasons why we think you should consider St George's pre-school nursery education.

What you get for our fees
  • An exceptional Early Years education and care
  • 15 acres of secure, parkland campus for Outdoor Learning
  • Morning and day sessions with wrap-around care from 7.45 am – 6.00 pm and holiday club
  • Personalised and individual attention
  • Small nursery of up to 56 girls and boys
  • Flexibility to add extra hours and sessions
  • Freshly made healthy hot meals and snacks prepared on campus – Healthy Eating Plus Award
  • From August 2021 St George's is no longer part of the Edinburgh City Council Partnership Scheme for part funding of nursery places. Our School Governing Council has adjusted our fees accordingly to reflect the impact of this decision on our parents and we have made the decision to reduce the nursery fees to amounts close to the net amount currently payable after grant funding
We have not made the decision to withdraw from the partnership lightly and we believe this is in the best interests of the children. We place a high value on the quality of care, support and provision that we offer to our youngest learners. To our minds, there is no substitute for high-quality learning experiences in the early years and we have structured our nursery in terms of an engaging environment, enriching resources and stable staffing ratios. We firmly believe that it is important for emphasis to be placed on the consistent quality of learning experiences delivered by qualified teachers and highly trained early years practitioners. If you would like to find out more information please contact our Admissions department.
