Mr Martin Blencowe, Council Member, St George's School, Edinburgh

Martin began his career in building and civil engineering contracting. He then spent 28 years in a construction project management consultancy business rising to be its managing director. He was responsible for the management of over £1billion of public and private sector developments in Scotland.

Martin has latterly worked for Scottish Futures Trust in the development and delivery of government funded building infrastructure projects. He also worked alongside Scottish Government colleagues in implementing the recommendations of the Review of Public Sector Procurement in Construction. He currently sits on three public sector project boards and is also Chair of the Property Committee.

Martin is a keen golfer and is Captain of the Royal Burgess Golfing Society.
