Stuart joined the Council of St George’s in 2025 and is Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. He is the Chief Finance and Chief Operating Officer at Martin Currie Investments and has 30 years of Financial Services experience. He is a Director of a number of Martin Currie entities and has been instrumental in reshaping their business, focusing on core capabilities and simplification. Before joining Martin Currie in 2008, Stuart helped establish a start-up Life Assurance company (Bright Grey) in 2003, expanding to over 300 employees.
A Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Charterholder with a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance, Stuart grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe before moving to Scotland and is a former Scottish International cricketer.
He enjoys watching most sports, playing golf, spending time with his family and country walks with the dogs.
