How to join

St George's Little Dragons Nursery is open for applications for children from age 2.

We encourage all families to have an initial call with one of our team and also join us for a visit to tour our nursery and outdoor space, and meet our staff. We will then follow up to arrange a suitable time for a play session.

After that we make an offer and guide you through enrollment and induction, leading to a structured and supportive settling in process.

  • We will contact you and learn more about your child and your family.
  • We have an individual approach to introducing you to the Little Dragons family.
  • We will ask questions to understand any specific needs and interests for your visit.

  • We will get to know you and learn more about your child.
  • You will see our Little Dragons Nursery in action; touring our dedicated nursery building and outdoor spaces, as well as our leafy wider campus.
  • You will meet our knowledgeable and friendly team.
  • You will meet a member of the Little Dragon’s Nursery Leadership Team.
  • There will be an opportunity to learn more about the whole school journey; St George’s Junior School, from Primary 1 and beyond.
  • You will soak up the uniquely warm and vibrant atmosphere.
  • You will have a chance to ask questions about Little Dragons Nursery, St George’s Preschool and transition into school.

  • There will be a personalised follow up, when you are ready.
  • We will arrange a suitable time for a play session for your child to attend, so we start to get to know them and their interests.
  • We will be clear in our explanation of next steps and timelines.

  • Every child and family is different. Our experienced team will work with you to find the best approach to settling in for your child.
  • All the information you need to get ready for your child’s nursery start is easily accessible on My School Portal, a dedicated website for parents.
  • We will support you in handling those first days of drop-off and settling in - we have a very individualised approach, and the size of the team means you will quickly get to know everyone who is involved with your child.
  • Every child is allocated a ‘key person’ to liaise with you throughout the nursery journey.

Join us at our free Friday Morning Come and Play sessions

'Bounce and Rhyme Time', 'Musical Sounds', 'Messy Play' and 'Little Lingo' sessions for you and your babies 1-3 years old, held most weeks at our Nursery during term time. These sessions are run by Bookbug certified Session Leaders. These are free sessions every Friday morning at 11 am and booked via Eventbrite for pre-school children.
