At St George’s we have seen a huge increase in participation in sport over the past few years, something we believe is in part due to allowing our pupils the opportunity to have a say in their PE uniform, switching from skirts to skorts and leggings, with outdoors sports coats for cold and rainy days. Head Carol Chandler-Thompson spoke to the BBC Radio Scotland this morning on Mornings with Stephen Jardine about the benefits of physical education for young women and girls and the importance of letting them choose what they want to wear when playing sports.
