St George's, Edinburgh Model UN Conference (2 December 2023)

St George’s School, Edinburgh is delighted to be hosting its second Model UN conference on 2 December 2023

We will be debating current issues regarding international relations and international problems, with the usual blend of serious discussion and high level of fun. This conference will take place at St George’s School. We will have experts in the field of international relations and politics to present current research on the issues up for debate.

The committees will be:

• Human Rights
• Special Political and Decolonisation
• Disarmament and International Security
• Economic and Social Council
• World Health Organisation

9.00 - 9.15am - Arrival and Registration
9.15 - 9.40am - Opening ceremony (with keynote speaker)
9.45 - 11.00am - Debates in Committee Rooms
11.00 -11:10am - Comfort break
11:10am -12:30pm - Debates in Committee Rooms
12:30 - 12:35pm - Introduction to the World Crisis
12:35 - 1:30pm - Lunch and Lobbying time
13:30 - 3:30pm - General Assembly
15:30 - 4.00pm - Closing Ceremony and Awards
