Lower 6 Insights and Experience Week
The Insights and Experience Week for Lower 6 ran from 12– 16 June and was filled with a huge variety of speakers and workshops.
Students were able to participate in different workshops: marketing and events, economics, interview skills and communication, social media content creation and coding.
Helpful information was shared in presentations about UCAS and higher education, interview techniques, work experience opportunities, “Why Go to University”, gap years, self-employment and running a business.
The students had access to industry experts from Northumbria University, Queen Margaret University, Cisco, and CodeClan. Additionally, they heard an interview with Mary Burns, a political advisor at Number 10.
It was a busy and informative week that will help prepare the Lower 6 students as they transition into Upper 6 and begin thinking about those steps into the world of work and further education.
