Making Memories: S1's Lagganlia Adventure Week

Our S1 students experienced an action-packed week of outdoor learning and adventure at Lagganlia Outdoor Centre. The expedition was filled with exciting challenges, breath-taking views, and valuable life lessons.
Upon arrival, students enjoyed beautiful sunny weather as they began their adventure. The first day was dedicated to camp craft and practicing essential outdoor skills, followed by a refreshing dip in the River Feshie—a perfect way to prepare for the expedition ahead.
The students were then divided into three expedition groups:
Canoe Expedition: Despite challenging low water levels, our determined paddlers navigated their way down the River Spey, demonstrating impressive strength and resilience throughout their journey.
Hiking Expedition: The hiking team conquered the summit of Carn Ban Mor and camped at the picturesque Ruigh Aiteachain Bothy. Though tired legs were reported all around, the stunning views and sense of achievement made every step worthwhile.
Biking Expedition: According to reports, the biking group may have the best stories to tell from their two-wheeled adventures across the terrain!
Each day, our students enjoyed spectacular scenery, including memorable "lunch with a view" moments that exemplified the beauty of outdoor learning.
