Ri Mathematics Masterclasses

Ri Mathematics Masterclasses are a series of six workshops led by experts from industry, academia and education. The programme is run by the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University and Napier University, in association with the Royal Institution (Ri), kindly supported by the Glasgow Mathematical Journal Trust.

The classes offer well-motivated and mathematically curious S2 students in-depth investigations of topics in mathematics combining theory with interactive exploration. The aim of the programme is to open the students' eyes to the world of mathematics and to inspire them to continue their engagement with the subject.

Bess, Olivia, and Rija took part in the six workshops and received a Masterclass certificate at the Edinburgh University. Enrichment opportunities such as this creates a space for girls to stretch and challenge themselves, enabling them to pursue STEM subjects with confidence and curiosity.
