St George's Retains Microsoft Showcase School Status

We are thrilled to announce that St George’s School has been awarded Microsoft Showcase School status for 2026-2027, joining a prestigious global community of pioneering schools leading the way in digital transformation. 

The Microsoft Showcase School programme celebrates institutions that demonstrate visionary leadership, inclusive learning environments, and a commitment to preparing students for the future through technology. Our journey to Showcase School has taken over five years and ensures that digital learning is not just an add-on, but a core part of our educational approach.

Over the past three years, we have:

• Developed a whole-school E-Learning strategy aligned with Microsoft’s Education Transformation Framework.
• Transitioned to school-managed devices to ensure equitable access and consistent digital experiences.
• Embedded tools like Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint across teaching, learning, and administration.
• Trained staff through Microsoft Learn, with over 20% becoming AI Educators and several becoming Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIEEs).
• Introduced AI literacy and coding into the curriculum, including hands-on projects using Canva AI, Teachable Machine, and Minecraft Education.
• Used data-driven insights to improve wellbeing, academic tracking, and parental engagement via platforms like CPOMs, My School Portal and Tooled Up.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and vision of our staff, students, and wider community. It reflects our belief that technology should empower learners, foster creativity, and prepare young people for a rapidly evolving world.

What’s Next?

Our next steps include:

• Expanding our 1:1 device programme to all laptop-based year groups.
• Implementing the 21st Century Learning Design (21CLD) framework across departments.
• Enhancing staff and student training through a new Digital Skills Hub and SharePoint Resources.
• Continuing to develop our AI policy and support staff confidence in using AI tools.
