The Art Department held their annual Sixth Form Leavers' Exhibition

The Art Department held their annual Sixth Form Leavers' Exhibition celebrating the achievements of their students in Art, Photography and Textiles. It is the culmination of months of hard work and dedication and every student should be absolutely proud of the body of work that they have created.

As has become the custom of the exhibition, rather than display only final pieces, the work is grouped within projects to allow it to be seen in context and share with the viewer the creative journey the young artists and designers have been on.

Two prizes were awarded:

For her skill level and approach, her can-do attitude and willingness give anything a go, a student who is truly responsive to advice and has created a stunning collection of paintings, the St George's Art Department Award went to Hope.

The second prizes was given to a student one may be forgiven for thinking she was a member of staff as she was never out of the Art Block, and having created some beautiful, intricate, and professional-level textiles work, the Clayton Award for Textiles was awarded to Iris.

This being Mr Stewart's last exhibition before taking up a new role, a number of ex students attended to say their farewells, including members of his first ever A Level class nineteen years ago.
