Upper 4 Enrichment Week consists of students undertaking a variety of activities as part of the curriculum. This year from Monday to Thursday students went off to various locations around the city.

Onsite, the Royal Navy led the students in a combination of leadership and teamwork training. Nearby at the Water of Leith below the school, the students worked hard volunteering with the Water of Leith Trust. They cleaned and repaired drains and paths ensuring the walkway was kept in good condition. They also took a walk down to the historic St Bernards Well.

Meanwhile, up in the Pentlands Regional Park, students had their navigation skills tested as they completed the National Navigation Awards Scheme Bronze award - the perfect preparation for those thinking about Bronze Duke of Edinburgh next session.

Friday was Outdoor Education activity day with groups at Foxlake Adventures, or coasteering and paddleboarding in Dunbar, climbing at Alien Rock and Gorge Walking the Devil's Pulpit in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

The weather shone all week- if only Scotland was like this all the time!
