Upper Sixth Leaver Rose Henderson Delivers TEDx Talk on Snow Leopard Conservation

We are incredibly proud of Upper Sixth leaver Rose Henderson, who recently took to the TEDx stage to deliver an outstanding talk on snow leopard conservation.
Rose captivated her audience with a powerful blend of science, economics and storytelling, drawing on her personal connection to Mongolia where her mother guided a snow leopard research expedition. Her talk explored the unique challenges facing these elusive creatures, known as "ghosts of the mountains", and the complex interplay of cultural, ecological and economic factors involved in their protection.
Highlighting both traditional reverence and innovative modern solutions, Rose shared compelling insights—from the role of Tibetan monasteries in protecting wildlife to economic schemes that incentivise conservation. Her closing message was a call to a new conservation model that harmonises human prosperity with ecological balance.
Rose's TEDx talk is a striking example of the passion and intellect we champion in our Sixth Form. We congratulate her on this exceptional achievement and look forward to seeing where her remarkable curiosity and commitment to global issues will take her next.
