"Looking back, I can confidently say that joining St George’s in Primary 6 was the right decision. The close-knit community and smaller class sizes here have given me the support I needed to thrive academically and in my co-curricular pursuits. Hockey has certainly been a defining part of my journey: I only started playing when I joined St George’s but it quickly developed into a passion, eventually resulting in selection for the East District and Scottish Brave Development Programme. Meanwhile, my participation in the school’s Australia exchange programme involved spending four weeks in Sydney and gaining invaluable cultural exposure – an experience that helped build my confidence and develop a ‘yes’ mindset, encouraging me to take on new challenges without hesitation. Next year, I hope to study Politics and International Relations at Sheffield University. My passion for international affairs was sparked by studying Higher Modern Studies, where I loved exploring political systems. I’ve also been considering the possibility of pursuing a field hockey scholarship in the United States – that’s an opportunity I wouldn’t have even contemplated without the encouragement I’ve received at St George’s.”
