"I’ve always had a love for science, especially problem-solving and understanding how things fit together and work. My interest in veterinary medicine grew naturally from my love of animals, having grown up in the countryside with horses, chickens, and dogs. Throughout my time here, I’ve been involved in some incredible experiences. One of the recent highlights was our Biology field trip to Millport; and my Biology teacher also recommended that I visit the Roslin Institute, where we explored avian flu testing and ELISA laboratory techniques. These experiences really deepened my interest in the field. Beyond science, music has been a huge part of my education here: I played the violin in the orchestra and joined the school ceilidh band. Outside of school, I’m a keen horse rider and represented Scotland at the World Internationals in 2023. I feel ready for my next challenge thanks to everything I’ve gained from my time at St George’s."
