“As a boarder, I’ve greatly benefited from living on campus. It has allowed me to spend more time studying in the evening without worrying about having to get up early the next morning! I’ve also formed friendships with people I may not have met if we hadn’t boarded together so I’m grateful for those close relationships.
At school, one of my most influential experiences has been as Secretary-General of Model United Nations (MUN). MUN has encouraged me to think critically, research global issues, and speak publicly. My visit to the Reichstag in Berlin further cemented my interest in international politics and sparked a desire to potentially work abroad. Meanwhile, as part of the Big Sister Club, I’ve mentored younger students – it’s a rewarding experience to give back to the school community here. I’m now hoping to study philosophy and politics at the University of Glasgow. Looking back overall, St George’s has given me the space to explore my interests and the flexibility to adapt my academic focus as I discovered new passions."
