“I’ve been at St George’s since I was three years old – that’s 15 years now… Obviously I’ve liked it enough to stick around that long because it’s weirdly like a second home! My fondest personal memory of St George’s was my recent 18th birthday. I help out in learning support and Primary 3 in the Junior School and they made me a massive card and a birthday cake so I cried! In terms of my career ambitions, I’ve been interested in ethical hacking and cyber security since I was around 13, attending annual NCSE Cyber First events and researching degrees in cyber security. I came across Abertay’s Ethical Hacking degree course which is basically the offensive side of cyber security – all the fun stuff I enjoy! I think that it’s such a fascinating and important part of everyone’s lives even if you don’t realise it. Everyone uses technology and everyone needs to be protected online. The industry is constantly expanding with new opportunities arising all the time.”
