Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Wednesday 23 May, the Remove year group went on a History trip to Inchcolm Island and Blackness Castle. We arrived at school in our own clothes and took a bus to South Queensferry, and then a boat to the island. On the boat, the girls had lots of fun eating food from the snack bar. We were also very excited to see lots of seals! When we arrived on the island, we were split into classes and taken around the abbey to learn all about Monks. We had lunch on the island before going back to explore the rest of the abbey, then went back to the mainland by taking the ferry again.
In the afternoon we went to Blackness Castle. We were put into pairs and given a quiz sheet and had to work together to find the answers around the castle. Then we got back on the bus and went back to school for the end of the day. Overall the girls had a great time!
