The Primary 2 girls have been using Bee-Bots in their ICT lessons to develop their coding skills.
To begin with, the girls were asked to simply have a play with the Bee-Bots before programming them to move in the shape of squares and rectangles. Their next challenge was to attach a pen so that when the girls programmed them to draw a digital number, their efforts could be seen on paper.
The girls then had to code and evaluate their programs to ensure that the Bee-Bot travelled correctly from one part of a grid map to another location.
“The first time we used the Bee-Bots we got them to draw a square. My best bit was using the pens on the Bee-Bots.” - Julia
“I enjoyed using the Bee-Bots when we told our partners which place on the map to go to.” – Mila
