On Saturday 22 April, the final of the Lunchtime Challenge was held. The Lunchtime Challenge is a cooking competition for the Removes. Anyone can sign up, but you have to make a sandwich for the first round. Then the judges will pick 8 people to go through to the next round - the final. For the final you have to cook a main, a side and a desert and you have two hours to cook it.
Here are some of the finalists' dishes:
- Louise - pea and pancetta tart and macaroons
- Sofia - pan fried salmon with salsa verde, grilled asparagus with pancetta and parmesan, rosemary thyme potatoes, lemon posset with raspberry coulis
The winner was Imogen with her dish - pizza with chicken, bacon and mango, cobb salad, chocolate hot pots.
