St George's Festive Fundraiser

On Saturday 28th November from 10.00-12.00 noon in the St George’s Centre we will hold out annual festive fundraiser. There will be lots of stalls from all areas of the school including a toys stall, face painting, Young Enterprise and more. Come along and do your Christmas shopping! All proceeds go to charity. Any donations of old toys and games can be handed in at Junior School reception, Lower School library and Upper School crush hall. Gemma & Laura

We are running a P1 Information Morning on Thursday 3 December from 10.00 – 11.30 am. This event is open to families who are interested in learning more about joining Primary 1 in August 2016, and it will cover primary education in general at St George’s. The format of the morning will begin with a talk given by Mrs Sue Hay, Head of the Junior School, covering the following topics: The benefits of a girls-only education in the primary years Small class sizes Opportunities for Outdoor Education at St George’s The transition from nursery to starting school Afterwards there will be an opportunity to hear from some of our current parents about their own experiences of when their daughters' moved from nursery to Primary 1. St George’s Lower School Taster and Information Afternoon for P6, P7 and S1

We are running a taster and information afternoon for prospective families who are interested in P6, P7 and S1 entry, on Friday afternoon, 20 November from 2.00 – 4.00 pm. Please help us spread the word. Girls are invited to take part in some activities including science, music and sport. For parents this afternoon is an informal opportunity to meet our staff, to find out in detail about life in our Lower School and to meet some current parents. Entrance assessments for S1 entry in August 2016 are on Saturday 16 January, 2016. For all other year groups (except P1) assessments can take place at a mutually convenient time.
