Entering in to a discussion with an author you admire is a rite of passage for any student of English literature. The girls of Mrs Irvine's Remove class gave this assignment a modern twist this week when they tweeted children's author, Katharine Rundell. The girls were very excited when the author tweeted back immediately whilst the girls were still in class. "We are reading "Rooftoppers" and really enjoying it, " said Grace of R7Y. We are running a P1 Information Morning on Thursday 3 December from 10.00 – 11.30 am. This event is open to families who are interested in learning more about joining Primary 1 in August 2016, and it will cover primary education in general at St George’s. The format of the morning will begin with a talk given by Mrs Sue Hay, Head of the Junior School, covering the following topics: The benefits of a girls-only education in the primary years Small class sizes Opportunities for Outdoor Education at St George’s The transition from nursery to starting school Afterwards there will be an opportunity to hear from some of our current parents about their own experiences of when their daughters' moved from nursery to Primary 1.
