Choosing a University Course
On Wednesday 12 September, Elke Tinnacher came to speak to the Upper Sixth year group about choosing a course and university. This was particularly helpful for the undecided students, who are yet to choose their courses, along with the Oxbridge, medical, dentistry and veterinary applicants as she departed some invaluable interview skills and advice.
She also spoke about the importance of the personal statements but gave us some simple yet effective tips for writing it. For example, ABC - A being the activity, B is the benefit you got from it and your contribution and C is the relevance to the course. It has given us all confidence in our writing and excited us about our futures in further education.
