Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
The term has started with lots of hammering! The girls have been more than excited to make their own wooden creations. Some of them worked on getting nails out of a piece of wood, while others had their first attempt at hammering a nail.
The girls used pens and rulers to help them make the perfect pattern on the wood, and one creative girl even drew round her toy monkey and gave it nails for eyes!
Thank you for those who helped me to sand more wood! Sandy, the sander mouse, was buzzing with happiness in your hands! Our next step will be to learn how to make holes in the wood using a special tool called a ‘drill’.
