Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Wednesday 24 January, Primary 4 students had a World War Two Child Evacuation day. Dressed head to toe as World War Two evacuees, including gas masks, suitcases and luggage labels, the girls had gone to a huge effort and looked fantastic; their costumes were so convincing that Mrs Nicol nearly did not recognise them when they arrived at the Drama Studio.
There was great fun and plenty of learning was had as the Primary 4 students role-played life as a child during World War Two including saying goodbye at the train station, sharing sandwiches and seeing cows for the very first time in the Country! An annual Drama/Primary collaboration, this year proved to be every bit as enjoyable as the last.
