The Primary 5 Girls visit The Royal Botanical Gardens

This week, each of the Primary 5 classes is visiting the Botanics as part of their topic on Scotland and Scottish trees. We are looking at the importance of trees and the different ways that we and other living creatures use trees. We have been researching and compiling information on a specific Scottish tree to present to our peers as a poster and talk.

We had a great trip learning all about trees - we learnt lots of facts about our chosen trees and got to sketch parts of them with a partner. We then had a great experience making our wax prints from our own sketches in the afternoon.
