On Sunday we went on a trip to the Honey Pot Creative Café in South Queensferry. It’s a little café with beautiful views over the bridge and river. There is a selection of pottery to choose from, including Christmas ornaments, animal figurines, honey pots, tea light holders and teapots, and of course the usual plates and mugs. I chose a cereal bowl as I already have two mugs from previous years and wanted to create a set! I designed my bowl with a pointillism pattern; I wanted it to mimic the ripples of the water and to create an eye-catching piece. I’m really pleased with how it turned out; my Mum couldn’t believe it was me who had created it!
Other girls chose mugs, tiles and figurines to decorate. We all found the experience very therapeutic and relaxing, the staff were so enthusiastic and helpful. We would all love to do it again, it was a perfect Sunday activity and just in time for Christmas presents!
