Congratulations to Isla in P4 for her Green Pencil Award. Isla was a finalist in the P4 - P6 category in this year's competition with her poem "Beautiful Cramond".
The Green Pencil Award is a creative writing competition with an environmental theme that is open to all P4 to S3 students in Edinburgh.
This year's theme was Young people and the Scottish environment.
Cramond is a lovely place
When the sun is shining, the sky is blue,
Lots of birds are flying high in the sky,
Aeroplanes fly past too.
Fun making footprints in the sand,
The sand gets in between your toes,
Collecting beautiful seashells and feathers
For decorating our sandcastles.
Ice-cream on sunny days,
Hot chocolate and cake on winter days,
Lots of cute little dogs,
Families are walking,
Children on their bikes and skates.
It's lun to visit Cramond,
I hope you go there too.
